Michael F. Sheets has been in the investment business for the past three decades and is uniquely qualified in the management of endowments and foundations.
“The process for designing investment programs that meet and exceed fiduciary requirements is ongoing but has become the standard for our industry. Our team continues to improve and refine that process.”
His extensive experience is combined with a dedication to continued education in complex investment disciplines. Michael earned his Certified Investment Management Analyst certification from The Wharton School in 1998.
“The disciplines that define an Investment Management Analyst enable a consultant to simplify complex investment problems and design appropriate programs with fiduciary standards that offer the best likelihood of positive results in perpetuity. I say ‘in perpetuity’ because appropriate investment policy for endowments and foundations seeks asset management that lasts forever. Designing these types of investment programs is what Certified Investment Management Analysts do.”
Michael began his career with Kidder Peabody and Company in 1981. He became an Assistant Vice-President in 1983. At Kidder, Michael was part of a group that was the first to recognize the special needs of endowments and foundations and designed some of the very first programs based on new and innovative analytic techniques to address those needs.
Michael joined Trubee, Collins & Co., Inc. in 1988 after Kidder Peabody was acquired by General Electric. He was named Chief Financial Officer of Trubee, Collins and Company in 1998.
Michael holds the following licenses: General Securities — Series 7, Financial and Operations Principal — Series 27, Uniform State — Series 63 and Registered Investment Advisor — Series 65, and Certified Investment Management Analyst CIMA®.
